AO strengthens its structure for international growth
AI-generated conceptual illustration of AO’s foundations for international growth.
AO is aligning its Group structure, regional operations and technology offering to support its next stage of growth across Africa and international markets.
AO is strengthening its organisational structure to support the next stage of its international growth. The work brings together the requirements of its South African business, its presence across Africa and its Finnish operation, while positioning the Group’s core products and services for a wider market.
In South Africa, this includes structuring the business to support Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) requirements and local regulatory obligations. Alongside this, AO is developing a Group structure suited to operating across different countries, building local relationships and serving customers internationally.
The changes are intended to help AO bring its capabilities together more effectively—from consulting and custom software development to enterprise systems, banking and payments technology, and its own products. The aim is to give customers access to the relevant expertise across the Group, supported by an organisation that can grow with their requirements.
Africa remains AO’s home market. Its presence in Finland adds a European base as the Group develops opportunities across its markets. This next stage builds on AO’s approach of combining local market knowledge with the wider business’s technology and delivery capabilities.
The focus is practical: put the foundations in place to support customers, develop the Group’s people and bring AO’s products and services to more markets.
