AO Group expands into the Nordics with the opening of AO Finland

AO Group expanded its European presence in March 2025 with the establishment of AO Finland, creating a base from which the Group can support customers across Finland and the wider Nordic market.

The expansion represents an important step in AO Group's international growth and reflects our increasing focus on financial services, payments, digital transformation and enterprise software within Europe.

Finland has one of Europe's most advanced digital economies and forms part of a Nordic financial-services ecosystem recognised for high levels of digital adoption, sophisticated payment infrastructure and strong engineering capability.

For AO, this creates an environment closely aligned with the areas in which we are investing.

These include modern software engineering, legacy platform modernisation, cloud and infrastructure, AI-enabled engineering, payments technology and our emerging work around Behavioural Banking.

The establishment of AO Finland also allows us to bring together capabilities from across the wider Group.

Customers can access engineering and technology capability across AO's international delivery network while retaining a closer presence within the European market.

This combination is particularly relevant for organisations modernising large, complex technology estates.

Many financial institutions and enterprises continue to operate systems developed over decades. Modernising those platforms requires more than replacing technology. It requires understanding business processes, data, integrations and the institutional knowledge embedded inside existing systems.

AO's approach combines engineering experience with AI-enabled tools, model-driven architecture and distributed delivery capability to help organisations understand, modernise and evolve these environments.

Finland also provides an important market for AO's longer-term ambitions in financial technology.
